Edna Williams, June 5, 1940 — Feb. 12, 2013, of Columbia

Edna Williams, 72, of Columbia passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Eternal Refuge Baptist Church.

Edna Williams was born on June 5, 1940, to Mabel Williams near Fulton, Missouri.

She worked at various sororities and fraternities in Columbia as a cook for over 30 years before she became ill. She was also a cook for Woodhaven. Edna enjoyed life and she treasured her family and friends.

Her memory will be cherished by her only son, James Williams, (Sylvia) of Atlanta; one grandson, Jimmy Rolley of Des Moines; and five great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Williams of Columbia; one brother, Joe Williams of Columbia; ten nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Williams; her brothers, Eugene, Buster, and Russell Williams; and two nephews.
