Columbia College women topple Missouri Baptist on the road

The Columbia College women's basketball team won its 18th straight game Thursday, defeating Missouri Baptist University 85-67 on the road. 

With the win, the No. 15 Cougars improved to 22-5 and 15-0 in America Midwest Conference play. The Cougars lead the conference by one game over Lyon College. Columbia College led 38-28 at halftime despite shooting just 37 percent in the first half. 

Lily Abreu scored a career-high 34 points for the Cougars. She also had seven rebounds. Danielle Ingrum was the only other Cougar to reach double digits, with 11 points.
