COLUMBIA— From the Associated Press basketball poll

This week: Unranked Last week: Unranked

Missouri (18-7, 7-5 in Southeastern Conference) finally won its first road game in the SEC, cruising past Mississippi State 78-36 but lost a tough game at Arkansas 73-71 in the final seconds. Keion Bell was the star of both games, pairing 24 points with five rebounds in the win and 25 points and eight rebounds in the loss. The Tigers struggled with fouls (25) and turnovers (17) against the Razorbacks, who are led by former Missouri coach Mike Anderson.

Florida (No. 5) is now the only ranked team in the SEC. Kentucky (last week No. 25) was dropped out of the rankings after losing to both Florida and Tennessee this week. The Wildcats also lost their star freshman forward Nerlens Noel, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Indiana stayed at No. 1, while Tigers coach Frank Haith’s former school, Miami (Fla.), moved up to No. 2. Gonzaga (No. 3) and Michigan State (No. 4) round out the top five. Missouri only received four votes in this week's poll.

The week ahead: This week, Missouri will have two difficult games, facing Florida (21-3, 11-1 SEC) on Tuesday at home and Kentucky (17-8, 8-4 SEC) on the road Saturday. Florida easily defeated the Tigers last month in Gainesville, winning 83-52. Missouri had 21 turnovers, and four Gators scored in double figures.

Florida is led by two senior guards, Kenny Boynton (13.0 points per game) and Mike Rosario (12.9 points). Kentucky, which started the season ranked No. 3, has struggled with a young team. The Wildcats were led by Noel but will now have to rely on leading scorer Archie Goodwin (13.6 points) and Kyle Wiltjer (11.8 points).
