COLUMBIA — Columbia residents might have to prepare for Round 2 of snow on Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, warmer temperatures this weekend will influence a weather pattern that could begin with rain and end with snow at the beginning of the week.
The high Sunday is predicted to push 50, with a high of 46 possible on Monday.
Forecaster Ben Miller said it's too early to tell whether the storm will be as significant as the one that covered Columbia in 10.2 inches of snow on Thursday.
"It can range from mostly liquid or to more snow, if it goes farther south," he said. "We're not sure how the storm is going to evolve."
At this point, Miller believes the severity may lie somewhere in the middle, starting the day with rain and ending with a few inches of snow.
The Weather Service relies on multiple differing models to predict the weather, and it's too soon to be precise, he said.
