COLUMBIA — Columbia Public Works plans to plow every residential street by Sunday, according to a news release.

Crews started to plow streets at 1 p.m. Friday and have used all available resources.

By Saturday morning, the city had plowed half of all residential streets.

Sunshine and temperatures slightly above freezing will improve plow operations Saturday, the release said. Public Works asks residents to move vehicles off roads and onto driveways to help speed up the plowing.
