The No. 7 Missouri softball team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday but bounced back to win the second game of a doubleheader against Cal State Fullerton.

The Titans won the first game 5-4 by scoring on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freshman second baseman Emily Crane hit her first home run for the Tigers and senior third baseman Nicole Hudson hit her sixth.

Hudson took the mound and threw a shutout in the second game to help Missouri run its record to 9-1. The Tigers' offensive performance was highlighted by four runs in the fifth inning.

Missouri next travels to Cape Girardeau to compete in the Missouri Breast Cancer Awareness tournament, where it will first play Southeast Missouri on March 1.
