Missouri wrestling beats two top 5 teams at National Duals

The Missouri wrestling team took third place at the 2013 NWCA Cliff Keen National Duals by winning two of three dual meets over the weekend.

The No. 6 Tigers beat No. 5 Ohio State 28-6 on Friday to advance in the tournament, which was held in Minneapolis, Minn.

After a 22-9 loss to No. 1 Oklahoma State early Saturday, the Tigers beat No. 2 Iowa 18-16 on Saturday night to secure third place. Missouri trailed Iowa 16-9 before consecutive wins by seniors Mike Larson, Brent Haynes and Dom Bradley to end the match.

Haynes and junior Alan Waters both won all three of their matches over the weekend for Missouri.

No. 4 Minnesota beat Oklahoma State in the first place match.
