UPDATE: Frontier flight to Orlando takes off, American Airlines cancels flights

COLUMBIA — American Airlines has canceled flights to and from Columbia Regional Airport on Tuesday after a second snowstorm in less than a week hit mid-Missouri.

Frontier Airlines flight to Orlando International Airport took off just before 5 p.m., according to the airline's reservation system. The flight was scheduled to take off at 4:35 p.m.

Earlier in the day, the flight was "doubtful," according to the airport's Facebook page.

The airport's runways and taxiways are open, but ground crew delays prompted American to cancel all six of its flights between Columbia and Chicago O'Hare and Dallas Fort-Worth International airports, according to the airport's Facebook page.
