COLUMBIA --  The Rock Bridge and Hickman basketball teams won't take the court for their district semifinal games Tuesday night at Hickman High School because of the inclement weather.

The Class 5 District 9 tournament resumes Thursday with the girls semifinal games. No. 1 Rock Bridge plays No. 5 Jefferson City at 6 p.m., and No. 2 Hickman takes on No. 3 Camdenton at 7:30.

Rock Bridge girls head coach Jill Nagel was scouting Jefferson City's upset of Smith-Cotton on Monday night and didn't think the weather would obstruct her team's state title defense.

"I don't think the weather affects us either way," said Nagel. "We knew the forecast, and I told the team to be mentally prepared for anything that comes our way."

On Friday, the top-seeded  Hickman boys basketball team faces No. 4 Camdenton at 6 p.m., and No. 2 Rock Bridge plays No. 3 Jefferson City at 7:30.

Both tournament finals are on Saturday. Playing times have not yet been announced.
