James L. Wilhite, Family Man Who Loved Outdoors

 COLUMBIA– James L. Wilhite, 63, of Centralia, passed away February 26, 2013.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

James was born October 13, 1949 in Little Rock, AR to Lester and Lucille Baker Wilhite. He married Linda Mosley in Columbia on October 8, 1983, and she survives.

James loved the, boating, or camping.  He loved to go floating on the Current River.  He loved working on his house and land.  He had a smile for everyone and never knew a stranger.  Most of all, James loved being with his family and this family included his many friends. He was a caring and loving man that will be missed greatly by all.

In addition to his loving wife, James is survived by his children: Stacy Mosley (David Wilson) of Columbia, Travis Wilhite (Lisa) of Hallsville, Troy Wilhite (Jennifer) of Harrisburg, Jaime Buck (Gary) of Mexico, Teresa Mansell of Warsaw, Leigh Matthews (David) and Jeff Mosley of Beaverton, OR; Siblings:  Ronnie Wilhite (Cissy), Dean Wilhite, Richard Wilhite, Brenda O'Connor (Doug), Judy Wilhite, Victoria Baker, Roxanne Nichols (John A), Barbara Wilhite, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, and his father, Lester Wilhite of Columbia.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille, brother Mike, and sister Patricia Wright and grandson Tyler.
