Ronald Palmer, Sept. 14, 1940 — March 4, 2013, of Columbia

Ronald Dale Palmer, 72 of Columbia passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. Services will be held at 7 pm, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Praise Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm Friday at the church.

Ronald was born September 14, 1940 in Columbia to James W. and Nellie Irene Calvert Palmer. He married Nina Fay Richardson on September 18, 1959 and she survives.

He graduated in 1958 from Hickman High School and attended sheet metal worker trade school in Jefferson City. Ronald served six years in the Missouri National Guard. Ronald was a sheet metal worker in Plant Engineering at the University of Missouri Hospital. He was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church and worked with the Royal Ranger Commanders Boys Club at the church.

Survivors include: his wife, Fay Palmer of Columbia; two sons, Terry D. Palmer of Columbia and Dennis Palmer of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Kelly Heimericks of Columbia, Donna Carter of Columbia and Tammy Schneider of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Jerry Palmer of Columbia; two sisters, Ruth Ann Rice and Karen Carter, both of Columbia; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sherry, a brother, Larry and a sister, Sharon Palmer.
