COMO YOU KNOW: Artrageous Fridays

Friday, March 8, 2013 | 10:28 a.m. CST; updated 7:33 p.m. CDT, Friday, May 9, 2014

CoMo You Know, a community wiki, adds context to stories of local interest and serves as a reference tool for readers.

Held quarterly throughout Columbia’s downtown and North Village, Artrageous Fridays is a collaboration of local galleries, studios and businesses to create an interactive art experience for the community and visitors. Participating venues are within walking distance of each other and feature unique art events including visual exhibits, storytelling, poetry, art talks, dances, demonstrations, live music and performances. Some art pieces are also for sale.

Artrageous Fridays aims to provide a forum for local artists to display their work and a chance for artists from galleries and studios in Columbia to get the word out about their causes. It is also an art event that encourages visitors and locals to experience different forms of art in downtown.
