Motorcycle driver dies after crashing into curb in west Columbia

COLUMBIA — The driver of a motorcycle died after crashing into a curb around 3 p.m. Thursday near Broadway and Scott Boulevard.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department:

Michael Roseman, 40, was traveling westbound on Broadway toward Scott Boulevard when he collided with a concrete curb and lost control of the vehicle. He was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the grass west of the roadway.

After being transported to University Hospital, Roseman died at 3:29 p.m. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Roseman, of Columbia, was driving with a revoked license and did not have a Missouri-required motorcycle endorsement. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and Roseman was not carrying a passenger.
