COLUMBIA — Former Missouri women’s basketball player Christine Flores has signed a contract with the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars, the team’s general manager announced Thursday.

Flores, a San Antonio native, finished her career at Missouri as the program's all-time blocks leader with 209. Flores also set the single game (10) and single season (93) records for blocks by a Tiger. Flores ranks 15th all-time at Missouri with 1,312 career points.

A former All-Big 12 Second Team selection, Flores finished her senior season ranked second in the Big 12 with 16.9 points per game and 3.0 blocks per game.

Flores was a third-round pick of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury in 2012 before continuing her professional career with Israel’s Galil Elion. Flores averaged 16.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in Israel.
