COLUMBIA — Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the Saturday evening robbery of The Bocomo Bay mixed martial arts supply store.

Officers were dispatched to the store at 1122 Wilkes Boulevard shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

The clerk on duty told the officers investigating that a male suspect entered the store to buy an item, went behind the counter and then put a hard object to the clerk's back, the release said. The suspect then ran north from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Columbia Police Department is asking if anyone knows anything regarding this robbery to contact them or Crime Stoppers at (573) 875-8477.

Supervising editor is Zach Murdock.
