COLUMBIA — The best images of the past week from Missourian photographers included Missouri men's basketball's first Southeastern Conference tournament, high school basketball and model trains.
In this photo taken by Greg Kendall-Ball, Ole Miss basketball player Nick Williams tries to block Missouri guard Keion Bell's layup in the SEC quarterfinals Friday in Nashville, Tenn. Missouri blew a 31-24 halftime lead and lost to Ole Miss 64-62.
Roxana Pop captured this image of Jenning Lesher, 5, as he watches trains during the annual Train Show on Saturday morning at Paquin Tower. The event offered small train models for kids to play with and more intricate realistic models for adults. The two main exhibits featured trains made by Lionel and A.C. Gilbert.

Columbia College went on to defeat Hope International University, but lost in the NAIA national championship quarterfinals to LSU-Shreveport. It was Columbia College's only loss of the season.

The recently discovered comet Pan-STARRS entered the Northern Hemisphere skies March 10 and is expected to brighten even further as dust and gas is shed from its icy surface.

Rock Bridge went on to defeat Joseph's Academy 45-38 for the Class 5 state championship.

Amy Stroth also captured this image of groundskeepers at University Field raking the infield between the sixth and seventh innings of the Missouri softball game against Evansville on Wednesday. With the 3-1 win, Missouri coach Ehren Earleywine recorded his 300th win at Missouri.
