COLUMBIA — Three armed men robbed Columbia Coin & Stamp on Tuesday morning, police reported.

At 10:20 a.m., Columbia police responded to a call at Coin & Stamp, located at 405 Bernadette Drive, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. Witnesses reported that three men armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. Two of the men were wearing ski masks. A fourth person remained in the vehicle.

One of the men who entered the store ran from the scene, according to the release. Police called in a K-9 to track this suspect. The others drove away in a brown Chevrolet Suburban heading eastbound on Ash Street.

Witnesses described all three men who entered the store as black males in their 20s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and under 175 pounds, according to the release.

No information was available Tuesday afternoon as to whether this robbery was related to the two armed robberies that occurred Monday night, Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.

No one was injured during the robbery, according to the release. However, the robbers took an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information about these incidents was asked to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
