Gervino was born in White Plains, N.Y. He then moved to Tulsa, Okla., where he graduated from Washington High School.

Following his education at Missouri, Gervino was hired as the sports director at KMIZ-TV in Columbia, where he remained until 1999.

In January 2000, Gervino moved to KOMU-TV to become sports director. He hosts the station’s sportscasts at 6 and 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the non-high school football season. He also hosts the KOMU Sports Show on Sunday nights at 10:30 p.m.

Gervino also works as a play-by-play announcer for the Mizzou Sports Network during basketball season. He also hosts the Missouri football and basketball coaches’ shows, which air statewide.
