Friday, March 22, 2013 | 4:41 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a Thursday night armed robbery at the 2400 block of Santa Rosa Court.

Two robbers, armed with handguns, approached a male and female victim, 25 and 22 years old, respectively, outside a Santa Rosa residence, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. Nobody was injured.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 11:31 p.m, according to the release.

The victims told police the robbers demanded their property and money, before fleeing eastbound on foot from Santa Rosa Court, according to the release. Police attempted to track the robbers using a K-9, but were unsuccessful.

Police spokeswoman Latisha Stroer declined in an email to disclose what property was stolen, citing the ongoing investigation.

Police are asking for anyone with any information about the robbery to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.

Supervising editor is Emilie Stigliani.
