Although I am a resident of Hallsville, I previously lived and worked in Columbia for 30 years. I care a lot about the direction that Columbia takes in growth and affordable housing. I am looking forward to seeing Sid Sullivan elected the new Mayor of Columbia.

He and I have discussed the need for affordable housing and the serious problems of homelessness in Columbia. Sid is very interested in taking on these issues in a proactive way and finding workable solutions.

He wants Columbia to grow in a way that allows everyone to thrive and prosper and a Columbia that all citizens can be proud to live in.

His qualifications include experience in many venues: civil service, business and community involvement. Sid's education covers three degrees and covers philosophy, sociology, finance and graduate business courses. This gives him a broad understanding of the many issues and people that he and the City Council will work with in his tenure as mayor.

I regret not being able to vote for Sid Sullivan on April 2, but I encourage the residents of Columbia to vote for a person that wants the best for all of Columbia.
