LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Sid Sullivan brings talent, experience

Thursday, March 28, 2013 | 12:00 p.m. CDT; updated 7:49 p.m. CDT, Thursday, March 28, 2013

COLUMBIA — This coming Tuesday is Election Day in Columbia, and I encourage all registered voters to get out and vote. For mayor, I encourage you to vote for Sid Sullivan.

Sid and his wife chose Columbia as the place to live when he retired. Therefore, he has a high level of interest in keeping Columbia on track to remain a great place for all to live.

Sid has a career and educational background that will be of outstanding benefit as he deals with the broad variety of issues that come before the mayor. He has worked in sales and marketing, in administration on the county and state level and has held leadership roles in various organizations.

Sid favors open government that encourages the involvement of the city's citizens in planning and in the implementation of those plans. This is the best way to improve our city government and all our neighborhoods.

Priscilla Bevins is a Columbia resident.
