Columbia College women's basketball 16th in final NAIA poll

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College's women's basketball team was ranked 16th in the 2012-2013 season's final NAIA national poll.
Westmont (Calif.) College earned the top spot in the rankings after defeating Lee (Tenn.) University for the NAIA national title.
The Cougars went 27-7 this season and won the American Midwest Conference regular season and conference tournament. They lost 62-56 to Shawnee State (Ohio) in the first round of the NAIA Nationals Championships.
Heather English was named AMC Player of the Year earned second-team All-American honors.
