Rock Bridge boys tennis defeats Jefferson City

The Rock Bridge boys tennis team beat Jefferson City 7-2 on Wednesday.

After Rock Bridge senior Alex Jones lost to Sam Johnson of Jefferson City 6-1, 6-1, the Bruins rallied for five consecutive singles wins. Rohit Rao, Billy Swift, Raymond Majors, Harry Bozoian and Cooper Viles* were the Rock Bridge singles winners.

The Bruins followed up those victories with wins in the first two doubles matches. Jones and Swift won their doubles match 6-2, 6-2, and Rao and Majors won their match 6-0, 6-3. Rock Bridge then lost the last doubles match of the night.

Rock Bridge is now 3-0 this season. The Bruins next match is against Hickman at 4 p.m. Thursday at Cosmo Park.
