COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge girls soccer team experienced deja vu early Saturday afternoon on its home field.

Sixteen hours after losing 2-1 in overtime to Blue Springs South, the Bruins were defeated 2-1 by Lindbergh on a goal in the second half of sudden-death overtime.

Bruins freshman Cara Wilfong broke the scoreless tie by firing a rebound past the Lindbergh goalkeeper from inside the box with 17 minutes left in the game. Five minutes later, the Flyers countered with a goal.

The loss dropped the Bruins to 2-3 this season. Rock Bridge next plays Wednesday at Hickman High School.
