COLUMBIA — A sexual assault was reported to Columbia police officers Saturday. The assault took place near the 900 block of Curtis Avenue, according to a police department news release.
Officers responded to the report at University Hospital. During the investigation, video footage was reviewed, according to the news release. The footage showed a white truck in the area. Police want to interview the driver and any possible occupants of the vehicle, the release stated.
The driver was described as a man in his mid- to late 20s, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, with a medium build, black hair and a square-shaped face.
A Clery release from the MU Police Department said MU police are working with Columbia police on the investigation because of the proximity of the reported assault to campus.
