Monday, April 8, 2013 | 5:56 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The Boone County Sheriff's Department is investigating six separate burglaries in the Lake of the Woods/Fairway Meadows Subdivision that have occurred over the last three weeks.

Since March 12, residents in the area have reported break-ins and stolen personal property primarily during daylight hours. Burglars have gained entry by forcing open doors or breaking windows, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

The department urges residents to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. CrimeStoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information can call 875-7477.
