Rock Bridge golf team finishes second at Smith-Cotton Classic

The Rock Bridge golf team finished second in the 20-team Sedalia Smith-Cotton Classic on Monday at Sedalia Country Club.

Led by sophomore Jack Knoesel's tournament-best round of 67, the Bruins shot 292 overall, just 12 over par on the par-70 course. Park Hill South won the tournament with a score of 286.

Rock Bridge's Matt Echelmeier shot 72 to tie for seventh overall. Sam Harrison placed third for the Bruins and tied for 11th overall with a round of 76, and Ben Humphreys shot 77. 

Rock Bridge plays in the Helias Invitational on April 15 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield.
