Missouri tennis falls to Mississippi State in regular season finale

The Mississippi State tennis team defeated Missouri 4-2 in the last match of the regular season in Starkville, Miss.

Roseline Dion defeated Alex Clark 6-2, 7-6 at No. 5 singles to clinch the match for the Bulldogs.

The Tigers picked up their first point of the day from Elisha Gabb, who won 6-2, 6-2 against Petra Ferancova at No. 4 singles. 

Mississippi State responded with victories from Alexandra Perper, who beat Rachel Stuhlmann at No. 2 singles, and Sarai Flores , who beat Madison Rhyner at No. 6 singles. 

Missouri tied the match as Maria Christensen beat Naomi Tran 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. 

Mississippi State's Georgiana Patrasc defeated Cierra Gaytan-Leach 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1 singles to give the Bulldogs the lead for good. 

The Tigers will stay in Starkville for the Southeastern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, which starts Wednesday.
