FROM READERS: Lions Clubs serve lunch at Special Olympics

The Lions of Columbia and Hartsburg went to Rock Bridge High School on Saturday to serve lunch to athletes at the Special Olympics.

Sandy McCann of Columbia is the district governor for the Missouri Lions District 26-M3. Missouri Lions Clubs strive to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding.

On Saturday, the four Columbia Lions Clubs and the Hartsburg Lions Club went to Rock Bridge High School to serve lunch to the participants in this year's Special Olympics spring games. There were around 800 participants this year. The photos below came from Scott Gordon and Sandy McCann.
