Rock Bridge golf wins Helias Invitational

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys golf team won the Helias Invitational with a total score of 299.

The tournament, played Monday afternoon at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield, featured 16 teams split into two divisions. Each team had five golfers competing.

Four Rock Bridge golfers finished in the top four spots of all the individual competitors.

Sophomore Jack Knoesel earned medalist honors with a score of 71, which was also one under par for the course.

Fellow sophomore Sam Harrison recorded the second lowest score of the tournament with a 74.

Matt Echelmeier and Ben Humphries, also sophomores, tied for third with scores of 77.

The Bruins play Wednesday in the Laker Invitational at Old Kinderhook Golf Course in Camdenton.
