Columbia College women's golfers place second at Hannibal tournament

Led by Hannah Gill, the Columbia College women's golf team earned second place in the Hannibal-LaGrange University Spring Invite this week.

Playing at Norwoods Golf Club in Clay, the Cougars shot a combined 747 during the two-day tournament. Three Cougars placed in the overall top ten.

Gill, finishing second overall in the tournament, shot a two-day score of 169. Hannibal-LaGrange's Lorena Alvarez shot a 163 for the individual tournament title. Hannibal-LaGrange also won the team tournament. The Trojans finished 38 strokes ahead of Columbia College. 

Columbia College next competes in the American Midwest Conference women's championship on May 6 at the Spencer T. Olin Golf Course in Alton, Ill.
