Faye Lewis enjoyed cooking, traveling

COLUMBIA — Faye Lewis loved cooking, watching television and traveling. 

"We enjoyed going on vacations across the country," her husband, Ken Lewis, said. 

Faye D. (Sheets) Lewis died Friday, April 19, 2013. She was 78

Mrs. Lewis was born on Oct. 21, 1934, to Joseph and Gertrude Henry Sheets. 

She had Parkinson's disease and lived in Parkside Manor for six years before her death. 

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Ken Lewis, of Columbia; two children, Gary Lewis and Rebecca Ann Elliott; three grandchildren, Dawson Lewis, Bradley and Matthew Elliott; and five siblings, Stanley Sheets, William Sheets, Brenda McCallister, David Sheets and Debbie Russell.

Her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Henry Sheets and sister, Connie Barnd, died earlier.  

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W., with a visitation from noon until time of the service.

Burial will follow at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery, 304 N. Cedar Lake Drive W., Columbia, MO 65203.
