Rock Bridge golfers win last match before districts

Rock Bridge defeated Hickman, Helias, and Jefferson City on Thursday at at Old Hawthorne Golf Course.

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge golf team defeated Hickman, Helias and Jefferson City on Thursday at Old Hawthorne Golf Course in the final regular season match before the district tournament. 

Rock Bridge finished with a team score of 307. Hickman finished second with 333.

Sophomores Matt Echelmeier and Jack Knoesel led the Bruins. Echelmeier recorded the lowest score of the day with a 71. Knoesel finished two strokes behind his teammate.

The Kewpies' lowest score came from senior Andrew Bair who finished with a 77.

Rock Bridge and Hickman's district tournament will be held April 29-31, at Green Hills Country Club in Willard.
