The Fr. Tolton Catholic High School tennis team dropped its last match of the regular season to finish 3-4.

Playing in a duel meet Tuesday against Sacred Heart High School, Tolton's No. 1 singles player Joe Fulca was the only Trailblazer to emerge victorious at Cosmo-Bethel Park. Fulca beat Sacred Heart's Kyung Taek Oh 8-3. Tolton lost the meet 1-8.

Tolton's No. 2 singles player, Peter Robe, kept it close against his Sacred Heart counterpart, narrowly losing 6-8 to Jay Kim.

Tolton's lower singles seeds did not fare as well though, combining for six wins in the remaining four pro sets.

In doubles, Fulca and Robe were outlasted 7-9 . The other doubles matches were coed, as each team has two girls on its rosters.

Tolton next plays in the Class 1 District 8 championships in Marshall, where they again will face Sacred Heart as well as Boonville High School, Marshall High School and Osage High School.
