Rock Bridge boys tennis sweeps matches at North Central Invite

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys tennis team improved to 14-1 with two victories in the North Central Missouri Invite on Saturday at Cosmo-Bethel Park.

In the morning, the Bruins defeated Kirkwood 10-1 without varsity players Billy Swift, Rohit Rao and Jacob Winton, who were at a school math test.

Alex Jones, Raymond Majors, Harry Bozoian, Alex Wasden, Cooper Viles and Nate Horvit won the singles matches. The pairs of Jones and Wasden, Majors and Bozoian, Viles and Ian Pohl, and Horvit and Victor Topouria won in doubles.

In the afternoon, Rock Bridge beat Clayton 8-3 with Swift, Rao and Winton in the lineup.

Rao, Winton, Majors and Bozoian won in singles. Swift and Winton, Majors and Wasden, Bozoian and Viles, and Horvit and Pohl recorded doubles victories.

Each dual featured six singles matches and five doubles matches. Normally there are only three doubles matches.
