Police investigate Sunday morning home invasion

COLUMBIA — Columbia police investigated a home invasion on Sunday morning.

At about 11 a.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion at 1111 Hamilton Way.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department, a man entered the residence, displayed a handgun and demanded marijuana and money. The suspect left the home without taking any property and walked southwest.

No one was injured. The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division for investigation and follow up, the release said.
