The Hickman girls soccer team beat Rock Bridge 2-1 in double overtime Monday in the semifinals of the Class 3, District 9 tournament in Sedalia.

The Bruins scored the game's first goal in the second half of regulation. Morgan Bumby connected off a Heleigh Fancher assist with 28 minutes to play.

Hickman came back quickly, though, with a goal from Kelsey Mirts just five minutes later.

The game stayed scoreless from there until Mirts scored again on a breakaway in the second overtime period to give the Kewpies the victory.

Hickman (12-7-1) advances to play Blues Springs (11-5-1) in the tournament final set for 6 p.m. Thursday in Sedalia. Rock Bridge finishes its season at 9-10.
