Woman attempts to rob HoneyBaked Ham restaurant Tuesday, police say

COLUMBIA — Police are seeking a woman they say tried to rob the HoneyBaked Ham in south Columbia on Tuesday morning.

The woman entered the restaurant, at 212 E. Green Meadows Road, and handed an employee a bag, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. She then demanded money while showing the employee a handgun, the release said.

Officers were dispatched to the restaurant at 10:57 a.m.

The woman fled the scene without any money in a silver four-door vehicle heading north on Providence Road, the release said.

No one was injured during the robbery and the investigation is ongoing, the release said.
