COLUMBIA — A Fulton man has been charged with methamphetamine production after drug materials were found in his vehicle, Columbia police said Wednesday.
At 9:48 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a disturbance at Cosmopolitan Park, Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said. They found Henry Durst, 50, in the parking lot of Extended Stay America, 2000 Business Loop W.
After asking Durst about the disturbance, the officers asked to search his vehicle and found narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including three syringes, a glass pipe, three metal spoons, a digital scale and a butane torch, Stroer said.
Durst was arrested on suspicion of distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of methamphetamine; possession of cocaine; and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bail was set at $54,500, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Department website. He was being held in the Boone County Jail on Wednesday.
