Brandon R. Coleman of Columbia killed in Sunday morning shooting

COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was killed Sunday morning after a shooting near the intersection of Ann Street and Hinkson Avenue.

Brandon R. Coleman, 25, was transported by ambulance to University Hospital and later pronounced dead, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

The Columbia Police Department Criminal Investigative Division arrived on the scene shortly after 3:15 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired in the area.

A disturbance occurred prior to the shooting, the release said. 

No arrests were made on Sunday, but police believe they had all persons involved in the disturbance and shooting and were conducting interviews, the release said.
