This article is a part of ArtTalk, a Missourian project inviting people from the arts community to tell us what’s cooking around town. To submit something you're excited about and open the eyes of the community to local art, fill out the form at the bottom of this story. Find past submissions here.

Here's the latest in the series, written by program specialist for Columbia's Office of Cultural Affairs, Sarah Dresser.

Q: What artistic project or product are you excited about?

A: I'm excited about the Arts & Drafts event on May 23! Arts & Drafts is a Missouri craft beer tasting and gallery crawl in downtown Columbia.

People can take the Tiger Trolley to each gallery stop including ARTlandish Gallery, Bluestem Missouri Crafts, Columbia Art League, Orr Street Studios, Poppy and PS:Gallery. There will be an after party at Mojo's with outdoor art installations, performers, and live music!

I love how this event pairs a different Missouri craft beer with each gallery. It will give people the opportunity to discover new brews while exploring the local arts scene. Also, the event will give people a chance to learn a bit more about the Columbia Arts Foundation, which was formed in 2012.

The event is a fundraiser for the Columbia Arts Foundation and being organized by the City of Columbia Office of Cultural Affairs.
