Stephanie Jo Potter was a nurse, avid quilter

COLUMBIA — Stephanie Jo Potter of Boonville died Monday, May 20, 2013. She was 51.

She was born on July 17, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to Dwight and Delores (Baker) Thatcher.

She married Stanley Potter in 1997 in Columbia.

Mrs. Potter was an avid quilter. She loved the great outdoors, including hunting, camping and fishing and enjoying nature. She was also an animal lover, who was especially drawn to canine companions.

She graduated nursing school in 1989 and spent 17 and a half years as a nurse with the Boone County Health Department.

Mrs. Potter is survived by her husband, Stanley; her children, Jessica Fox of Milton, Fla., and Dustin Vincke of Boonville; siblings, Pam Bruns, Lisa Thatcher, and Skip Thatcher; grandchildren, Ethan and Benjamin, and her father, Dwight Thatcher.

Her mother died earlier.
