Rock Bridge falls in state boys tennis championship

The Rock Bridge boys tennis team lost 5-0 to Rockhurst on Thursday in the Class 2 state championship.

The match did not go to doubles play after the Bruins were swept in singles despite close contests at No. 1, where Alex Jones fell to Alex Koca 6-2, 7-6 (7) and No. 6, where Harry Bozoian lost to Sinjin Neir 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Rock Bridge, which finished the season at 19-2, beat Parkway Central 5-1 in the semifinals earlier on Thursday morning.
