Eleanore L. Geel, 93, of Columbia, Mo., passed away the morning of May 30, 2013, at The Bluffs. Eleanore was the daughter of Harry and Harriett (Brink) Lynch and was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Ashtabula, Ohio.

She married Willis B. Geel, Jan. 10, 1942, in Ashtabula, Ohio. She worked for the Columbia Public Schools for 31 years as secretary to the director of Art, Music and Food Services. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church since 1952, order of the Eastern Star, Mother’s Forum, and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and a daughter, Janet. Eleanore is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Martha) Geel of Columbia, Mo., and Richard (Linda) Geel of Burke, Va., six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services following at 2 p.m. with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
