Audrey Rottinghaus, 62, worked at the MU School of Veterinary Medicine for 31 years

COLUMBIA — Audrey Rottinghaus died Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was 62. 

She was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Chicago to Walter Joseph and Lillian (Hacker) Adrick.

She married George Rottinghaus on Aug. 26, 1972.

Mrs. Rottinghaus worked for the MU School of Veterinary Medicine for 31 years after she earned her bachelor's degree from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill., and her master's degree in immunobiology from Iowa State University. 

Mrs. Rottinghaus was also an avid reader, a dedicated mother and a loving wife.

Mrs. Rottinhaus is survived by her husband, George; a son, Brian Rottinghaus of Columbia; a daughter, Erin Rottinghaus and her husband, Stephen Romano, of Roswell, Ga.; her mother, Lillian, of Blue Island, Ill.; a sister, Cheryl Kleina, and her husband, Keith, of Tinley Park, Ill.; a brother, Frank Adrick, of Blue Island, Ill.; and stepgrandson, Anthony Romano.

Her father, Walter, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daniel Boone Regional Library, 100 W Broadway, Columbia MO 65203.
