Thursday, June 6, 2013 | 10:30 p.m. CDT

Missouri senior pitcher Rob Zastryzny was chosen with the 41st overall pick of Thursday evening's Major League Baseball draft. The Chicago Cubs used the second pick of the second round to take the 6-foot-3 left-hander from Corpus Christi, Texas.

In 13 starts in 2013, Zastryzny compiled a 3.38 ERA, but finished at 2-9, hampered by a lack of run support. He threw 82 strikeouts in 90.2 innings for a career total of 228, tying him for eighth all-time in the Missouri program.
