Cable crews were digging to lay fiber optic cables for Charter Communications when they hit the line. The AmerenUE workers were concerned about the gas leak being so close to electrical transformer boxes.

COLUMBIA — Cable crews were digging to lay fiber optic cables for Charter Communications when they hit a gas line on Lemone Industrial Boulevard and New Haven Avenue near U.S.  63 on Friday. The AmerenUE workers were concerned about the gas leak being so close to electrical transformer boxes.
