Christina Salmon and Daniel Hopkins were married March 23

Christina Kari Salmon married Daniel Jacob Hopkins were married March 23 in Columbia.

COLUMBIA — Christina Kari Salmon and Daniel Jacob Hopkins were married at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at First Christian Church in Columbia.

Pastor Shay Roush of The Crossing officiated at the double-ring ceremony. A reception was held at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel following the service.

The bride is the daughter of Shane and Jill Salmon of Hermitage. She is the granddaughter of Sharon Winner of Columbia, Dick Winner of Peoria, Ariz., and Bonnie Salmon and the late Jim Salmon of Pilot Grove. 

The groom is the son of Steve and Ann Hopkins of Basehor, Kansas. He is the grandson of Lillian Hopkins and the late Bernard Hopkins of Harrisonville and Jean Hopkins and the late Jimmy Hopkins of Kansas City.

Ryan Salmon, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kate Gruenewald, Candace Lawhon, Jess Ramsey, Becca Consbrock and Kristina Ramsey.  Amy Pendergrast, the bride's cousin, was flower girl.

Ryan Maid served as the best man. Groomsmen included Doug Stevens; Brandon Barnes; Nick Otterbacher; Nate Hopkins, brother of the groom; and Caleb Hopkins, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Jackson Barnes. Ushers were Ben, Jay and Jeff Salmon, brothers of the bride, and Jared Wells, brother-in-law of the groom.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Hermitage High School and a 2009 graduate of Central Methodist University where she earned bachelor of science degrees in business management and recreation management. She is employed as the development director at Coyote Hill Christian Children's Home in Harrisburg.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Harrisonville High School and a 2004 graduate of MU where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism. He is employed as the director of operations for the Missouri football program in Columbia.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Savannah, Ga., and they now live in Columbia.
