News of Deaton's retirement gets mostly positive, humorous reactions

On Wednesday afternoon, MU Chancellor Brady Deaton announced he will retire effective Nov. 15. Much of the MU community's response online was appreciative of Deaton's nine years as chancellor, though there are some who are glad to see him go.

Hopefully Deaton's replacement will be someone of equal caliber to the late Gary Thomas and to recently retired Jack Carney. Who are they? They were also University of Missouri System Chancellors, but not at MU.
