Frances S. Allen, Jan. 9, 1926 — June 16, 2013

Frances S. Allen , 87, of Shawnee passed away June 16, 2013 in Shawnee, Kansas.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia Mo., on June 20, 2013 at 1:30pm.

Funeral service will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on June 20, 2013 at 2:00pm with Reverend Barbra Phifer officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

Frances was born in Bixby, Oklahoma to Charles and Minnie May Worstell on January 9, 1926. She worked at the University of Missouri-Columbia for 35 years. Frances was also a devoted Christian and family was first and foremost in her life.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Minnie May; three brothers Sylvester, Loye and Ted Worstell; and her husband; the love of her life, Harold Laton Allen.

Frances is survived by her daughter Connie Allen Crane and Son-in-law Jerry of Shawnee, Kansas; Four Grandchildren Wesley Crane (Jennifer)of Kansas City, Laton Crane (Nancy) Of Roeland Park, KS, Denise Crane of Fort Lauderdale, Fl and Suzanne Congrove (Andrew) of Shawnee, Ks; Seven Great Grandsons, Joshua, Cannon, Carter, Collin, Jake, Jack and Luke and one Great Granddaughter, Sydney Sister Flora Toalson of Columbia; Brothers Frank of Salasaw, Ok, Gean of Rolla, Mo and Paul of Salem, Mo; our dear little Niece Teresa Frances Worstell of Lenexa, Ks, as well as many other nieces and nephews that meant so much to her.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Grace Hospice of Kansas City and Shawnee Gardens Nursing Facility for their love and comfort that they gave her during her stay.
